The Red Thistle Dancers

To dance for you, we need a minimum clear space of 20 ft x 30 ft, and a good, level surface. The number of performers can range from 2 to a cast of 20 or more for a special event. We have a variety of costumes to fit in perfectly with your event's theme or style, whether formal or informal, from full Scottish regalia to historical period costumes from the 19th and 18th centuries.

Depending on your time and budget, we can perform a short 10 minute demonstration or provide a longer and more varied full program for your event. We can also provide an audience participation period, in which fun and easy dances will be taught to allow the audience to dance with our dancers! A sliding fee will be charged at a rate to be negotiated when final arrangements are made.

Music will be performed live by our Red Thistle Musicians on fiddle, keyboard, harp, and bodhran (or can be taped depending on your requirements). Depending on your wishes, we can help arrange for and work with bagpipers.
